I just found out that a week from today will be my last day of my internship. Apparently, Biola web admins don’t know how to maintain their site to display the proper year in the main “Academic Calendar” area. Some of this, admittedly, is my own fault, seeing as how it says at the top 2004-2005. However, it still means that I’m not working as long as I thought I would be.

I don’t really know whether I want to work part time. I know that for me, I need to probably not work where I do, as I feel like I’m under someone’s shadow - namely, my father. This is more in my head then in reality, but it doesn’t mean I don’t feel that way.

So if I don’t work there during the semester, that means I need to find part time work of some sort. Hopefully I can find something with a steady income stream, limited responsibility, short term commitment, felixible hours - and while we’re dreaming - as close to me as my current job is.

Kephale hit 59 last night. Shoros is 17 and I’ll let him hang once he hits 18. The Dirty Dutch boy has to catch up - that bugger, only level 13.

I just ate a really good plumb.

Here’s something more interesting than that.
One of my fellow interns (crazy guy, hella funny though) wanted to invite the rest of the interns out tomorrow night to Rockin Taco. So he takes an email that one of the HR interns sent out, copies the “Send To” field and puts it in his message. He then proceeds to send it immediately out. What he didn’t realize is that the HR intern sent out her email to not only the interns but our managers and several high level execs to invite to our intern closing presentations.
So this guy sends out an invite to go out to a Cantina - to the CEO and everyone two levels down from him…brilliant.

I laughed my ass off…

I didn’t need the “Newbian Institute For Madder Skills”, I pwned bitch just fine yesterday. My level 58 (at the time) protection spec’ed Warrior beat a 60 stun/lock Rogue in a duel. Booya! Posted by Picasa

Onstar Commercial

Apparently GM advocates leaning out of car windows.

This was a real commercial I heard. They were saying that if your check
engine light comes on while driving, your Onstar representative can run
a diagnostic to see if its serious.

And I quote, “Whether it be something that you need to pull over for, or
something as simple as tightening a gas cap.”

…what?!

Beware habits. Old and new. Good and bad. Nothing has more power to choke the life out of intentional living.

Funniest Thing

Its really funny how a fortuitous yet extremely improbable event, no
matter how trivial can boost your mood. I am now going to take this
truism (I believe), and make a theorem.

The amount of mood boost or loss experienced due to the occurence of a
fortuitous or unfortuitous, yet extremely improbable event, no matter
how trivial, increases exponentially with each successive event.

Consider the following experience I had.
I decide to go to the vending machine at work to get a candy bar. I
look in my desk to get change and I count 50 cents. I realize that it
might be enough to get a candy bar, but more likely only lifesavers.
When I get to the machine, my fears are confirmed, and they’re out of
lifesavers, just certs. So I figure, what the hell, I’ll get the certs
and as I count out my change, I only have 45 cents. Double whammy, I’m
really bummed.
I look down at my feet and see a nickel. Sweet. I grab the nickel, put
it in the machine, press the button for the certs. As I reach down and
grab my certs I feel something else…a candy bar! Double boost, baby!

My theorem stands.

I updated some of the links on the sidebar for places you should go.
Check out Little-E. That’s my sisters blog about my nephew, her and Justin’s son Ethan.

Wow, dead center. Priests are in such short demand, it’s gross. That’s because no one wants them between level 12-50. Posted by Picasa
