Took a day off of work yesterday to get some rest and whatnot. Logged in to play WoW and the server was down for 24 hour maintenance (sp?). I have the worst luck.
Beyond that…guild drama, annoying.

I’d really like to play, but I gots to go.

Back from being a leader at church camp. I gotta say, it was more fun then I thought it was going to be. Additionally, I think that a couple of the kids had breakthroughs, so that’s good.

That’s it. Nothing else to share, other than - if you pray, pray for me. I could use it.

Okay, so the Boromir thing.

I think that every man, on some level, wishes he was Aragorn. A king who surrendered the right to his throne because he didn’t believe in the corruption that had come to the kingdom. He comes back victorious to save what could not be saved by any other. He is a natural leader of men, has a beautiful love who inspires him, has a rugged countenance that makes him dangerous yet handsome. Every man really wishes, deep down when reading/watching Lord of the Rings that he was Aragorn, but I bet if we were all honest with eachother - we all secretely and almost regretfully identify with Boromir. He’s not the real king, only a steward. A good warrior, but not the greatest. He is hungry for something he can’t have and seeks himself. He is overcome by his desire more often than he stands firmly against it. At the same time he is ultimately good, and has good wants as well - the might of his people…yadayada. He is ultimately overcome and in his act of death, proves that he is good.

I guess I just feel like that a lot - a pretty good guy, who’s not the best, but tries, is totally falable but wants to be remembered, and if given the opportunity - would die to prove by his death what he feels incapable of proving with his life.

Ring a bell with any of you males? Then again, some of you are probably Gimli…not even going to go there.

I have been wondering for the longest time why I identify so much with
Boromir from LoTR.
I think I figured it out. I promise I’ll write about it when I’m not at
work. But if you know me well as some do, then you should get it after
some thought.

Delayed.

Well we’re on the plane and it looks like we’ll be delayed by at least
another hour on top of the one we’re already delayed. Thunderstorms to
the west and no one is taking off so the whole airport is backing up.
Its hot and humid in the plane too which makes this horrible.

So, as opposed to getting home around 8ish 8:30 its gonna be more like
10 10:30. My brother, in the attached photo out our window, could count
24 planes preparing and delayed for takeoff.

Trying to have a good outlook.

New Jersey

Not as ghetto as everyone makes it seem, but I am in Red Banks, which is
really nice.

The wedding was completely awesome and I came to the realization that
mine is going to be significantly less opulent, though I hope no less of
a blast.

Being a part of the older cousins is quite nice, but I really wanted for
sarah to be here.

Bah…

All I gotta say is…FedEx is full of crap. I pay $11 for the 2-3 day
shipping to try and get my iPod to me before I leave for New Jersey and
its stranded in fucking Indianapolis. I’m a bit more than “bummed”.

Flying is actually enjoyable when you have a lot of very good music.
Without it…its just annoying.

Haiku to Sonnet’s

Please endure this, I miss Sarah an incredible amount and I just don’t know how to show that. So if you don’t like bad poetry - skip this post.

An Aching Sonnet

This crushing ache within my lonely heart,
Arises as time - my memories erase.
I curse the space that holds, binds us apart
Hoping I n’er forget the touch of her embrace.

But all of that is mere talk, a way
Of expressing the intense desire
I’m not able to outwardly display
She’s too far ‘way to set my heart afire.

Must be a million folks who’ll say to us
“Ahem, ‘Absence makes the heart grow fonder.’”
And I don’t mean to be so contentious,
But just hear this thought, something to ponder…

“Time and distance will attempt to smother,
What, when near, could not be brought assunder.”

*sigh*

Shakespearean Sonnets. I miss her soooooo much.

Music quote…

I got this laser inscribed on the back of my new iPod, “Music in the
soul can be heard by the universe.” Lao Tzu said that, good stuff.

I think a hurricane ate the cell towers. She hasn’t responded to txt
messages since 9:15pm her time. Hope she’s okay.
