This post is entitled, “West Virginia II: I Strike Back”
So my best friend since pre-school got married this last Friday in West Virginia. This was the second time I have visited the state and I have the following things to say about it.
1. The people I met that my friend introduced me to were amazing people. Just…sweet awesome people.
2. Then I went to Wal-Mart. Wow, I was the only person without a camo article of clothing on. (Slightly facetious, about 70% of the people were in camo in some fashion or another.)
3. The state itself is B-E-A-utiful. Gorgeous terrain and the leaves were turning.
4. West Virginia is to the United States as Torah Borah is to Afghanistan. I pity the invading nation who tries to mess with the hicks in the hills with their guns.
Anyways, thats that.
I was a groomsman in the wedding and had the chance to meet a grip of really great guys. Some from West VA, some from California, one from Boston and one from Australia. All of them were what I would call “best friend material”.
The ceremony and reception were a lot of fun and I wish that my gal could have come along. That’s the basics.
